Border BioBlitz Sunday, May 4th

On Sunday, May 4th, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and naturalist Hector Valtierra invite you to an exciting in-person bioblitz at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge!
We’ll gather at the trail entrance by Iris Ave (1480 5th St, Imperial Beach, CA 91932) to explore and document the rich biodiversity of this unique area. Don’t forget to download the iNaturalist app to help us record our findings! If you’re new to iNaturalist, you can learn how to use it by checking out this helpful video: https://vimeo.com/162581545 .
This bioblitz is part of the Border BioBlitz Community Day, taking place at the Tijuana Estuary Visitor Center from 9 AM to 3 PM. Hosted by the San Diego Natural History Museum and Botanical Community Development Initiatives, this free community event welcomes everyone to participate and connect with nature!
We can’t wait to see you there!
