Refuge Weeders
In the mood to invade the invasives? Manage the mustard? Whoop the weeds?
Channel your frustrations in a positive direction and save some coastal sage scrub habitat.
Join EDI and US Fish & Wildlife Service at the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge Par Four area for a day of weeding. All will learn more about invasive species and what volunteers can do to diminish their impact on native habitat. This is a moderately physical event with a short hike with incredible views and plenty of beautiful native plants to get to know along the way. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water and gloves if you have them. RSVPs appreciated. Directions: Take Par Four Drive south from Steele Canyon Road. Park at the end of the road. Please be respectful of neighbors in this residential area. Click here for more information and to RSVP; contact EDI at 619-654-3793 or info@earthdiscovery.org.
