Native Grass Farm Volunteer Work Day: Saturday, August 20, 2011, 7a.m. –11a.m.

Volunteers had so much fun at our June Grass Farm Work Day, they wanted to schedule another day as soon as possible! Start early to beat the heat as we continue to support work of the California Department of Fish and Game in maintaining the native grass farm at Rancho Jamul Ecological Reserve from which seed can be collected for grassland restoration efforts throughout the region.  Bring gloves (if you have them – we can provide if you don’t), water, hat, sunscreen, long pants, and sturdy shoes.  More water and cold drinks, as well as shade and snacks will be provided. To RSVP, for directions or more information, contact Cathy Chadwick at or 619-277-3605.
